LizDev, Inc., a California corporation (“LizDev”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides a variety of data products and services which focus on digital marketing, marketing analytics, and lead generation.  Most of the information that we process is not collected on this website, but rather through relationships we have with other companies such as data suppliers, data services providers, and our clients and marketing partners. 

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to consumers (“you” or “your”) whose personal information we collect in connection with the products and services we offer.  It sets forth our online and offline information practices and the rights that you may have regarding your personal information.


1.  Information LizDev Collects About You
In this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be directly or indirectly linked, with you, your device, or your household.

Personal information does not include publicly available information from government records,  deidentified or aggregated consumer information, information governed by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (“CMIA”), Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”), California Financial Information Privacy Act (“FIPA”), and Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994 (“DPPA”).

We may collect (and have collected in the past 12 months) several types of personal information about you, including without limitation: 

  • Identifiers” such as your name, alias, DOB, postal address, billing address, email address, title, unique personal identifier, online identifier, IP address, telephone number, fax number, birthdate, age and age-range, social media handle or moniker and other similar identifiers;
  • Categories of Personal Information as Described in Section 1798.80(e) of California Customer Records Act”such as your employment details and history, financial information, and signature;  
  • Characteristics of Protected Classifications” such as your pronouns preference, marital status, family status, disability, or age;
  • “Commercial Information” such as account number, previous payment and other financial information, debt history, services that you engaged us for, purchased products and other products that you may have purchased or considered purchasing, and websites that you may have engaged with;  
  • “Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information” such as your IP address, browsing history, search history, operating system, referral URL, pages viewed, and other information regarding your interaction with our website, emails and product offerings;
  • Geolocation Data” such as information that can help identify your location like your city, country, zip code/postal code and other information to help identify your physical location;
  • Audio or Similar Information” such as voice messages you leave on LizDev’s voice mailbox or other audio, electronic, or similar information;
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information” such as your employment information and business or company information of your employer;
  • “Education Information” such as your educational degrees, languages, professional memberships, qualifications and certifications; and
  • “Inferences Drawn About Your Preferences” such as whether you are interested in receiving information on debt assistance, health care policies, health care services or products, home improvements and other  interests, characteristics, behaviors on and offline, purchase patterns, and other inferences drawn from other types of information we collect from you.
  • “Other Informationsuch as your weight, height, whether you smoke and information we collect from you if you interact with us, our service providers or third-party websites such as Facebook, Instagram, X (fka Twitter), TikTok, Pinterest, Google and other social media or interactive pages.


2.  How Your Personal Information is Collected
We may collect your Personal Information from various sources, including without limitation:   

  • Information from third-parties – We collect personal information fromdata suppliers, data services providers, and our clients and marketing partners. We may also collect your information directly from third party service and content providers, credit reporting agencies and others interacting with us. 
  • Information you provide us – We collect your personal information from your direct engagement with us, including without limitation when you communicate with us by phone, email, chat, text, or otherwise and when you enter into business transactions with us.
  • Information we collect on our website – As further set forth in the Section below titled “USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGY” we may automatically collect your personal information through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies.
  • Information from other sources – We may collect your personal information from other sources including without limitation, publicly available sources and information which is published in the media, our data analytic providers, operating systems and platforms, advertising networks, our affiliates that you may have interacted with, and our fraud prevention service providers or other vendors that provides services on our behalf.
  • Information from social media platforms and networks – Depending on your settings or the privacy policies of social media or messaging services that we partner with, such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X (fka Twitter), YouTube, TikTok or Google, we may obtain information about you through your interaction with us on social media or through your use of certain features, such as plugins, widgets, or other tools made available by social media platforms or networks in connection with the products and services that we provide our clients. 

We may combine information that we receive from the various sources described in this Privacy Policy, including without limitation third party sources and public sources, and use or disclose it for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy.


3.  Use of Cookies and Other Technology

Like many companies, we may collect certain personal information and aggregated non-personally identifiable information about you when you visit our website through the use of cookies and other tracking technologies.  For example, we may use cookies to track how many users visit our website.   You can set your browser not to accept cookies.  To learn more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set on your device and how to manage and delete them, please visit https://www.allaboutcookies.org.

Some of our product offerings sold to our clients, contain pixels and web beacons, which are a type of code that is embedded in a website, video, email, or advertisement that sends information about your use to a server. There are various types of pixels, including image pixels (which are small graphic images) and JavaScript pixels (which contains JavaScript code). When you access a website, video, email, or advertisement that contains a pixel, the pixel may permit us or a separate entity to drop or read cookies on your browser. Pixels are used in combination with cookies to track activity by a particular browser on a particular device. We may incorporate pixels on our product offerings from separate entities that allow us or our marketing partners to track your communications, bring you advertising both on and offline, and provide you with additional functionality. In most instances, our clients and marketing partners control the collection of data from our product offering, however we may process such data to assess and improve its effectiveness.

By setting your email account to display emails as text only, you may be able to prevent the use of some pixels and web beacons, however please be aware that our emails won’t look as pretty and some functionality may be disabled.  

4.  The Purposes for Collecting Your Personal Information
We collect, use or disclose your personal information for several business or commercial purposes, including without limitation for:

  • Transactional Purposes to Provide Our Products and Services:  We may collect, use or disclose your personal information in order to provide our products and services to clients, or to perform our contractual obligations to and/or for you or our clients, marketing partners or vendors. This includes without limitation: to provide digital marketing, marketing analytics, and lead generation services; to maintain or service our client accounts; to provide customer service and to process transactions and payments; to provide analytic services; to manage client databases, verify identities and facilitate our internal business operations; and to otherwise comply with our professional obligations. This processing is necessary for us to perform our contractual obligations for our clients, marketing partners, vendors and other third parties that we may contract with.

As part of our product offerings to client, we may sell a collection of personal information which includes categories of personal interests that are grouped together based on common interests or preferences (“Leads”).  Leads may be associated with a person, household, a unique online identifier, and identify a person’s likes, dislikes, class, neighborhood in which he or she resides or if he or she is a member of a certain profession.  We obtain our Leads directly from third party data brokers and suppliers, and such Leads may contain your personal information.  Our marketing partners and clients may use these Leads to tailor more relevant ads and offers to groups of users, or to learn more about their own customers and improve their own databases.

  • Communication Purposes:  We may use your personal information to communicate with you regarding our products, services, alerts and payments, to respond to and/or follow-up on your requests, inquiries, issues or feedback, and to provide customer service.
  • Improvement of our Website, Products and Services:We may use your personal information to provide you access to our website and to personalize and improve your experience on our website. We may also conduct internal research to improve our product and service offerings.
  • Analytical Purposes: We may use your personal information to conduct audits related to consumer interactions with our products and services.  We may also conduct research and analytics with your personal information and create aggregated, pseudonymized, or anonymized information for statistical purposes. 
  • Marketing and Promoting Purposes: We work with online marketing applications and partners through web-based, mobile technologies. These marketing applications and partners use cookies and similar technologies, often associated with unique online identifiers.   • Security and Fraud Prevention:  We may undertake activities to verify or maintain the quality of a service or device that is owned, made by or for, or controlled by us, and to improve, upgrade, or enhance the products, services or devices that are owned, made by or for, or controlled by us. We may use your personal information to detect security incidents, protect you or others against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and prosecute those responsible for that activity.
  • Legal Purposes: We may use your personal information to respond to law enforcement requests and as required by applicable law or court order.  We may use it to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our clients, or others as we deem appropriate in our sole and absolute discretion and to enforce this Privacy Policy, engagement agreements and our other written policies or agreements between you and LizDev and to comply with applicable laws.
  • Other Purposes: We may use your personal information for various other purposes including without limitation, undertaking activities as described to you when collecting your personal information, fulfilling any other business or commercial purposes at your direction or with your consent, and evaluating or conducting a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by us is among the assets transferred.

5.  Selling and/or Sharing of Personal Information

In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we may sell, disclose and share your personal information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Clients and Marketing Partners –We may sell or share your personal information with our marketing partners in connection with the products and services that we offer.   For example, we share and sell Leads to our clients to assist them with their marketing and advertising purposes.
  • Service Providers – LizDev shares information with entities that help us maintain and operate our products and services.  Our service providers include without limitation our payment processors, IT vendors, internet service providers, external auditors, advisors and other third parties that support our business operations and to administer any products or services provided to you that LizDev agrees to undertake. These companies may only use such information to perform those functions and may not use it for any other purpose, although we may permit them to use aggregate information which does not identify you or de-identified data for any purpose except as prohibited by applicable law.
  • Vendors – We may share information with vendors and other entities in connection with tailoring and administering our products and services to our clients, improving our website and advertising effectiveness, processing your specific requests or the requests of our clients, and enabling other enhancements to our products and services.  Some of our vendors include without limitation our data analytic providers, marketing providers, and data brokers.  These companies may act as our service providers, or in certain contexts, independently decide how to process your information. 
  • Professional Advisers – We may disclose your personal information with professional advisers, partners and agents of LizDev to maintain and operate our business.
  • Social Networks – We may obtain your information from a social media platform if you interact with us on our social media accounts, platforms and networks, and may share any posts or content that you have tagged us on or relate to our products and services in our own social media accounts, website or other marketing material.  If you interact with our web ad products and services that we provide our clients directly or in collaboration with our marketing partners, we may share such information with such respective customers and marketing partners.
  • Public and Public Forums – We may post your reviews, comments, questions or other content that you post regarding our products and services on our website or on a public forum operated by a third party. Such information will be publicly available.
  • Affiliates – We may share information with our related entities or professionals including without limitation our partners, employees, agents, contractors, representatives, legal counsel and/or accountants, for operational, management and administrative purposes; internal audit, legal, regulatory, security, insurance brokers, financial, processing and other similar purposes; or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
  • Third Parties in Connection with a Merger, Acquisition or Other Business Transaction – We may share information if LizDev is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of all or a portion of its assets, financings, joint ventures, reorganization, dissolution, liquidation, or other event where we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business assets or equity. We will not provide you with notice before disclosure in such cases. 
  • Third Parties for Security and Compelled Disclosure Purposes – LizDev must disclose information about you in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including but not limited to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We may share information about you in connection with legal requirements, such as in response to an authorized subpoena or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud. Such disclosures may be carried out without notice to you.
  • Third Parties that You Direct Us to Share With – We share information at your request or direction, such as information regarding your claim against an adverse party. We may also share your information with notice and as required by applicable law, with your consent.

6.  Third Party Links and Websites

Our website may contain links to third party websites not owned or controlled by LizDev. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such websites or the use of any data by such websites. Should you decide to navigate to any websites or webpages external to our website, you do so entirely at your own risk.  Additionally, this Privacy Policy also does not apply to the third party websites in which our product offerings are placed.   We are not responsible for the actions, privacy, security, or content of such third party websites. If you  are asked to provide information on one of these websites, we encourage you to carefully review their privacy policy before sharing your information.

7.  Children’s Guidelines

Our website, products and services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us.  If we become aware that we have collected or received information about a child under 18 or that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to remove and delete such information.  

8.  How We Protect Your Personal Information

LizDev implements reasonable practices to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. No data transmission or electronic storage is infallible. Therefore, LizDev cannot guarantee or warrant the security of the personal information that you transmit to LizDev.

9.  How Long We Retain Information

In general, we retain personal information as long as reasonably needed to achieve the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy.  There are many factors that we use to determine how long personal information is retained, such as:

  • the purposes for which the personal information was collected, including to provide our products and services;
  • any legal, regulatory or professional requirements that apply to your personal information; and
  • whether your personal information may be relevant to us in protecting our own rights (e.g. applicable statute of limitation periods).

10.  What Choices Do You Have Over How Your Information Is Used? 

In this section, we describe the rights and choices available to all consumers.

  • Update or Delete Client Information – If you engage us for services and become our client, you may update or delete certain contact personal information about you by contacting us at anytime.
  • Cookies – Most browsers let you remove and/or stop accepting cookies from the websites you visit.  You can set your browser not to accept cookies by following the instructions in your browser’s settings. 
  • Opt-Out Preference Signal – Some Internet browsers may be configured to send “Do Not Track” signals or opt-out preferential signals to the online services that you visit.  To find out more about “Do Not Track,” please visit http://www.allaboutdnt.com.
  • Choosing Not to Share Your Personal Information – We do not require you to provide personal information to view our website or access much of its content. However, if you want to engage us for services or purchase our products, you will be required to provide us with certain personal information so we may provide you with the services which you have engaged us for.

Right to Request Deletion of Personal Information
Upon verification of your identity, you may in some cases request that we delete personal information about you that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.  Please note that a record of your deletion request may be kept pursuant to our legal obligations. 

Right to Correct Inaccurate Personal Information

You have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate information that we have about you.


Right to Non-Discrimination for the Exercise of a Consumer’s Privacy Right
Data Privacy Residents have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment by businesses for the exercise of their privacy rights conferred under their respective state’s data privacy laws.

Right to Opt-Out of the Sale/Sharing of Personal Information

We sell Leads to our clients and share Leads with our marketing partners or other third parties as described in this Privacy Policy.  Additionally, we may also offer other products and services to our clients that may contain personal information of consumers or share personal information of consumers with third parties for cross-contextual advertising purposes.   You may have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information for cross-contextual advertising purposes. 

Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

You have the right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Our website does not contain technology that processes personal information and uses computation to execute a decision, replace human decision making, or substantially facilitate human decision making, to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person and to analyze a natural person’s performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preference, interests, reliability, behavior, location or movements. However, we may purchase, analyze, process and sell Leads, which may contain such profiling information.  

Exercising Your Rights

Data Privacy Residents may exercise the rights described above by submitting a verifiable consumer request by clicking on the “Your Privacy Choices” link which can also be found in the footer of our website and indicate your preference. You can also contact us by following the directions set forth in the section entitled “CONTACT US” below.


You are permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit a request for information or deletion on your behalf. The authorized agent may be a natural person or a business entity registered with the Secretary of State of the state that you reside in, and you have authorized to act on your behalf. All requests from an authorized agent must be accompanied by a signed written statement from you which includes your clear authorization and permission for such agent to submit the request under your behalf or power of attorney that complies with applicable law. We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

If you are a California resident, you may opt out of the selling and sharing of your personal information by broadcasting an Opt-Out Preference Signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) (on the browsers and/or browser extensions that support such a signal).  To download and use a browser supporting the GPC browser signal, click here: https://globalprivacycontrol.org/orgs.  If you choose to use the GPC signal, you will need to turn it on for each supported browser or browser extension you use.  In certain cases, we may not be able to verify your identity with a GPC signal alone and you may need to contact us directly with your request to opt out and provide us with additional identifying information about you to verify your identity in order to process your opt out request.

Verifying Your Identity If You Submit Data Requests
If you choose to contact us directly via the designated methods described above to exercise your rights relating to your personal information, you will need to:

  • Provide enough information for us to reasonably identify you (e.g., your full name and other identifying information that you have provided us or reasonably believe we have); and
  • Describe your request with sufficient detail to allow us to properly process and respond to your request.

You acknowledge that we may not be obligated to process your requests if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information of, or is someone authorized to act on such person’s behalf.

Any personal information we collect from you in order to verify your identity in connection with your request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.

Direct Marketing and Do Not Track Signals

Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may request and obtain a notice once a year about the personal information we shared with other businesses for their own direct marketing purposes.  Such a notice will include a list of the categories of personal information that were shared (if any) and the names and addresses of all third parties with which the personal information was shared (if any).  The notice will cover the preceding calendar year.  To obtain such a notice, please contact us as described below.   In addition, under this law you are entitled to be advised how we handle “Do Not Track” browser signals.  We do not personally track users of our website over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
